Default Sticky tires...

So I have been thinking about tires for my project truck... its a 4wd so overall diameter needs to match front to back, but I want a wider tire on the back, and want to use stock rims (16-17" prefferred), AND I would like them to be about 30" tall...This is a non-dd so dry traction is the main focus.

The closests I can come up with after looking at what everyone has to offer are the M&H drag radials....325/45/17 in the rear (28x11.5), and 275/50/17 in the front (28x9.5). M&H makes a 30" cheater slick in 16s but I dont know if I like the idea of tubes on a street truck...

Does anyone with these tires have any comments?

Those drag radials are probably going to be your best bet. Any regular performance non drag radial probably won't hold the power you are going to be at.

been running the mt et streets in 305/45/18 and they have worked good so far but i have yet to put any beating on em.

sucks being awd and not able to heat tires much. eventually ill hit them with a 2-step off the line .

Ive riding in a single cab 6.0, Torquer V2, FBO, 4400 converter and 4.56s...M&H 295/50/17? or a 40 series. They would hold most of the time from a stop/roll on motor, but they wanted nothing to do with the 150, even from a 45 roll.

Im hoping the 4wd will solve most of my problems from low speed....at high speeds when the turbo gets going, well...we will just have to play it by feel
