Oh yeah Scott i forgot to ask what do you use to clean your truck, Quick detailers, Onr, or soap and buckets?

oh and have you buffed it out? and what did you use for that?

The truck gets wiped down each day with a California duster and then I use Last Touch detail spray by Maguiar's. I wash the truck once a month unless I have been caught in the rain. I try not to drive in the rain if I can. I use a boars hair brush and Maguiar's Gold class soap. I wax the truck once every 3 - 6 months with Griots Best of Show wax and a DA polisher. I have not been happy with the wax so I may go to something else. I will use a quick spray wax in between if I feel it is getting rough. I also clay bar the truck before each wax to remove any fallout. I know it seems like a lot of work, but that is how I keep it so clean.

The secret is a good clay bar, quality wax with a DA polisher if you can and keep the truck wiped down as much as possible to keep fallout from embedding into the paint. Hope that answers your question.

I completely understand, dark colors need that kind of attention. It doesnt sound to different than my routine, except my truck isnt lucky enough to hide in a garage, and is a daily driver.

Waxes are hard to choose, there are lots of options and many of them perform well. Right now i mostly use collinite 845IW because its cheap and it lasts forever. I like meguires #26, and the new NXT 2.0, both are great for something you can but locally.

I would love to try some of the higher end waxes some time, here alot of good things about souvern, poorboys natty blue, and p21s 100%.
