Default SS bumper on GMC

I've noticed that the new 03+ Chevy grilles dip in the middle like my Sierra. I'm not too pleased with the current market of GMC bumpers/covers.

I was wondering what the measurements (long word) are on the 03+bumpers. How far does the grille come down? How wide is the dropped center section? I know it's not a direct bolt on, but if the gaps look good, I'll try it out.

I've thought about putting the tape measure to one in a parking lot, but then I would look suspect and I would probably **** someone off.

03+ guys I need your help!

I don't know the measurement's, but in this month's issue of Street Trucks, the cover truck is a '03 Chevy front end with a GMC bumper. From the pictures, the Chevy front doesn't dip down as far as the GMC. So I imagine the SS bumper wouldn't have enough of a dip in the front to accomodate the GMC grill. Hope that all makes sense. Hopefully somebody can actually get some measurement's for us.

That makes sense. I don't get Street Trucks. Can you scan it and post it, or tell me where I can pick one up. I would love to see it! Thanks. My dad is picking up a new Silvy monday, so I think I'm going to just park them side by side and go at it...that's if he lets me of course.

Thanks for the pics I8AHEMI! That gap is Ginormous!!! That's what I was affraid of. I think I could expect a similar gap doing the opposite, or at least no gap at all. Scratch that idea.

Does anyone know what air dam that is...that does look bad *** though?
