will the bumper covers for the SS fit on a 2001? Or are the ones we can buy aftermarket specially made to fit the 99-01's? The part number I found from the parts post was #12335659.

 

street scene makes one for 99-02, as well as 03 and up.

 

I'm aware that street scene makes one, i was just wondering if the actual factory replacement for the actual SS silverado would fit an 01 silverado. It's about 100 bucks cheaper if it would work, just seein if anyone has tried/succeeded.

 

im pretty sure that the factory on will not fit the 99-02 models, that being said i want to know where you found the factory one for 100 bucks cheaper than the Street Scene?

 

The 03 and up front bumpers have a different shape and would not fit the earlier models.

You will have to go aftermarket for one to fit an '01 model.

The factory one does sell for $236 and I have seen the Street scene one for $100 more. I have also seen it sell for $310

 

Yep, you pretty much beat me to the reply as well as answered my original question. Anyway, I figured as much though as far a fitment/etc, seeing as if it was possible, everybody would probably jump on the cheaper cost. Oh well!!

So I only need to buy the cover for my '03 1500?

 

if you buy it from Street Scene (aftermarket one) then yes. If you buy the factory one no, you need the cover, the ducts, the grill insert, the backing pad and about half a dozen clips to hold it on. If you buy all the the parts from the factory it will be much more expensive then just getting the Street Scene one.
