Local painters are doing them left and right around here for 30-45 a set including 3rd brake light. Some use a mix of auto paint with clear and others just spray some paint to desired tint and then clearcoat them. Mine were sprayed then clear coated, this gets better results and come out very shiny.

How many people have done this using the VHT Niteshades method?? Seems easy on a smooth lens like the F-Bodies have, bud wondering how well it looks on the Yukon/Tahoe tailights. Any pics out there???

Definately do the Nite Shade method. Turns out much better. The trick is the sanding beforehand.

Be careful this product will run very easy and takes quite a bit of time to dry for just one coat. Take your time and it will turn out fine.

Ive done prob 20 sets in the last 2 months around the waco area. I spray them with PPG paint. use black base coat and go to the desired darkness then clear over it. I even did one trucks green and put blue pearl in another one. Sand and buff them and they are perfect. Make sure you ALWAYS spray a plastic adhession promoter on it first so in a few years it doesnt start to peel.

Pick up a cheap one from the parts store, you dont have to have a $500 gun to get good results on small parts. Make sure it's a gravity feed with a 1.3-1.5 tip and if you can get a HVLP they are even better.
