Alright I'm looking to put some Slicks on my truck but unsure of what wheel size I should use. I want a 28" tall tire and have used a 28/10-15 and those have done great, but my truck is 4wd and will eventually put slicks on the front as well. I'm wanting a 15"-17" Slick, for those of you that have try'd a 16" or 17" slick how is the smaller sidewall working out with less room for roll?

If your thinking about running front and rear why not do drag radials? The cost of 4 drag radials is very close to 2 good slicks and you can do all 4 now. Plus they will handle the street.

Because 4 DR will be somewhat streetable. Also on the street you can hook hard as hell with out a burnout. Also You would typically get a set of skinnies for the front if you went with two slicks.
Each set up has it's advantages. Radials are difficult to make work but with 4 they become much easier. Slicks are fairly fool proof but you typically loose a few mph and .1-.3 on a slick if you can get the radial to hook the same.
Two slicks will get the job done at the track and typically on the street. I havn't looked at slicks in 17" but I didn't think there were that many offered, I could be wrong. Plenty of guys are running 16" slicks and cutting super low 60' times. My 28x11.50/16 E.T. Streets dead hook on the street but I was only cutting 1.9-2.0 60'.
