Silverado vs Colorado
#1
Today I got rear ended on the way to work by a Colorado Z71. Needless to say Colorado Vs Silverado leads to Colorado ending up on a flatbed. Bodyshop initial estimate is at 4K for my truck.
Oh and my neck hurts, off to chiro tommorrow.

Sorry to hear about the accident, but glad no one was hurt (besides your neck).
I had a similar accident with a cadillac. I had a 98 4x4 silverado that I was leasing back in high school, and I was turning onto a 4 lane street. well just as I was entering the center turnlane to get onto the driving lanes, this guy in his caddy was doing the same thing I was, but in the other direction.
Well needless to say, he decided to gun it down the center (turn-only) lane and while he was busy looking over his shoulder he barreled into my front left fender. Well, looking at the damage, the plastic flare on my bumper was lightly scuffed and my fender had a little dent in it, but the caddy had a radiator that was apart of his engine block and his hood was fashioned into an upside down V. So the caddy had to be hauled off, and I was able to drive off with a few minor scratches and a little bit of an alignment issue.
Go Silverado!!!!!!

whoa.. im sorry man.. that sucks. Colorado=totaled? by tht pics its looks pretty tore up. Where did they get 4k worth of damage from? They replacing the entire driver's side bed skin, bumper, paint, and what else got damaged? I guess the price doesnt matter if you dont pay, just thought 4k was a little high.

My entire bedside panel, tailgate (smashed in), tailgate hinges, bumper, exhaust, cab is dented where the bed hit it....oh and the frame may be tweaked, won't know until they start tearing into it. Its the initial estimate and the shop does good work, so I didnt argue.
Colorado sure looked totalled, entire front clip is smashed into the driver's side of the engine compartment. Both their bags went off, popped front tire, and radiator was destroyed and leaking all over the place.
Oh and by the way, had I turned my wheels while I was waiting to make the turn OR had I driven something smaller/more fuel efficient the colorado would have knocked me into the oncoming traffic.

oh alright, i gotcha. Ya, thts why i get scared when i see ppl begin to turn their wheel while sitting at a light or at an intersection... good thing your truck weighs about 1000lbs or so heavier than his. What did a doctor say about your neck? For some reason, i see a lot of $$$ in your future, lol.

The bed is an inch from the cab on the pass. side and almost 3 inches from the cab on the drivers side. I'm hoping the bed is twisted on the frame, rather than the frame being bent itself. It looked straight from under the truck, but it could be tweaked by a inch or so.
