Sierra Trim and others installed

Still have the painted bumpercap to put on and the Tahoe grille next spring along with some new summer wheels and tires. Going to put in an Eaton for the winter and hopefully track down a 6.0.

Nice!
It's amazing how much of a difference the esky handles and removing the stock trim makes.
Put that bumper cap on, and I would tint the windows and put a Trendz billet grille on that Tahoe grille you're getting
Heh, where do you live...in the forest?

Ha, no I live in upstate NY. Yeah I am hoping to do exactly that with the grille when springtime comes. I am debating keeping the bumper cap off for the winter time. We'll see. I can't wait to get some new wheels and tires though, it'll look so much better. Hey where did you get your Eaton installed? Good deal?Andrew

It's about 20 minutes away from me. They did the install for $200 in about 4 hours. I think that's one of the best deals out there

OK, I got them from a place called the PT King.

You may be able to get it cheaper at partszoneonline now. At the time the PT king was a couple bucks cheaper.
Prices have gone up a little since I got it. Also, could you guys wait a day or so before you contact him. I want to have a couple things straightened out from him (see the bumper cap post) and this could give me a little leverage on getting it fixed a little faster, he's been good about it so far but just in case.
I installed it myself. Here is a little step by step of what I did.
1. First I went to the GMC dealer and measured how far down from the upper lip the trim was. It was pretty much always about 2 3/8 down.
2. So I came home and wiped the surface where I was putting it with Prep Sol. I then measured that 2 3/8 down and placed the trim there with a couple of pieces of tape going over it to hold it in place. Stood back and checked it out.
3. I then measured and made sure it was about 2 3/8 - 2 7/16 (I'm freaking **** when it comes to this stuff) away.
4. Then when I was sure it was where I wanted it I ran a piece of masking tape on the top as a guide line for when I stuck it on.
5. I measured it again (3rd time so far) and made sure that it was all evenly placed. I then took off the backing on the trim and started where the trim was squared off (back of door, front of bed) and just placed it on there right along the tape. it's easier to start there because you know the guide tape is flat there and don't have to worry about any taper at the pointed ends (I opted to not even put tape that far out)
Comes out like this
Now, one thing you want to take note of. When I went from the cab to the bed, the lines of the bed were about 1/8th higher than the cab, so I set the bed trim just above the lime of the cab trim (you can barely see it in the second picture. That way when the springs settle it should be ok....not like you'd ever notice as I drove by. But I would know it was off! Cool? Let me know if you have any other questions.
