I just got the eraser wheel. That thing is the ticket for sure. Takes it off in a jiffy and doesnt take the paint off or scratch it. Thanks for the help.

You can get them at a paint supply store for about $10

This is the 6th Chevrolet truck or SUV I have done and all the ones I have done before I have used heat gun and finger and some adhesive remover. I have always ended up with sore blistered fingers. Now with the eraser wheel I dont have that and it took me a fraction of the time. I recommend this to anyone who plans on taking the side moldings and emblems off. Thanks for the help and advise to Nick and everyone else who gave some input. This is truely what this website is about and here for.

My truck is a 99. It's victory red. If I pull the molding off, is it gonna look like hell underneath? I always wanted to do it, but I am afraid of the paint color differences that might be there.
