Side molding

Thanks. I actually took the side molding off today, along with the adhesvie, using just my fingers. I also took the emblems off the tailgate, but that 'adhesive' is tougher to get off. Might head to NAPA...

Visit your local auto body/paint equipment shop. Ask for a 3M pinstripe eraser. This thing works amazing when removing any additional adhesive. Hooks to a standard drill. Save your finger tips from alot of pain.

those stripe removal wheels are the stuff. but we took the moldings off of superchevyguy07's truck with a heat gun and goo gone, then wax. got some good blisters on our thumbs though.

I didn't have the molding on mine...but i did take the "LS" thing behind the doors off with my fingers and goo gone, not a problem, then again it was practically a brand new truck...

Yea eatsgts heat gun done the trick. It just pulled right off and then wiped the adhesive down real good with goo gone and rubed off with my thumb but then again my truck was almost brand new when we pulled it off lol

Yeah, I was able to get all of the adhesive pretty easily, but it left behind an outline of where the adhesive was so I used a clar bay on it, but it's still there. So, I'm thinking the wheel might do the trick...

I'll add to this that a heat gun and the 3M stripe remover wheel worked wonders! Just de-badged my '05 today. Literally took about 15 minutes to do both doors.
1. Use the heat gun to get one end of the molding's double-sided tape warmed up and then start pulling it away from the door, slowly keep the heat applied as you pull. Do go too fast, just steady, and it will come off easily.
2. Take a bucket of water and a sponge and clean up all the dirt and crap left under the molding so you don't risk scratching with the wheel. Then make sure to dry the area off.
3. Take the 3M stripe remover wheels and use it to remove the remaining two sided tape. Make sure you dried the area well because water makes that wheel almost useless.
4. Use a cleaner to remove the remaining residue and put some wax on and you're done.
