Default should i paint the chrome on mirrors

i painted my bowtie to match my truck. i like the way it looks. i would really love to paint my door handles to. they don't make pre painted ones for my color. should i paint the chrome on my mirrors to match my truck or just leave it?

I think painted mirrors would look good on your truck, especially since you have removed your moldings.

I think they DO make painted door handles for your truck. If the your color is 'carmine red' try GM part number 15041755 and 15041756. those are listed for color 72 carmine red/redfire

I like my chrome mirror caps, they match up well with the chrome grill, bumpers, exhaust tip, and new wheels I'll be getting in the spring.

The handles would look good painted, but they also match up well as-is with the black bumper caps, tinted windows, bug guard, blackouts, and window visors.

somebody makes plain mirror covers for our trucks, check with stylin concepts or even gm. it would be less of a hassle to paint those than the chrome as you may have an adhesion problem and the color may look a little light due to the chrome underneath....

my truck is dark carmine red metallic. i guess the "carmine metallic" is a little lighter.

i was thinking of sanding the chrome mirrors, put a coat of primer on, then paint, then clear

check your paint code. If it is 72 then the numbers I provided will work. the mirror fillers are available from GM pre painted also. I do not think there is a dark and light version of carmine red. You may be able to save a little $$$ buying the pre-painted ones from GM
