seat swap, is it possible?
Hi,
I have a 2003 regular cab silverado with a drivers powered seat and i believe the passenger seat is wired to be powered but the actual seat is not.*
About a year ago i bought some leather powered seats off a 2010 silverado with seat belts. Both seats are powered and i believe both are heated. Is it possible to swap these into my 03? I have been told that it is not possible and there too many "liabilites".
If possible, i would like to have all power options working including the heated seats.*
A big concern of mine is safety as well. Would the seat belts be ok?
If anybody has any sort of knowledge on this topic i would appreciate any help. Or if you know someone that can do the swap please let me know. At this point i just want some advice on what to do.
Thanks,

Your biggest issue is going to be the seat belts. They are mounted to the seats in the 99-07 trucks and the cab in the newer trucks. There is no place for them to mount to the pillar in your truck.
Aside from that it's just basic wiring, there's many clean options for switches from both generation truck. If it was me I would sell those and get some Denali/escalate seats and door panels from a donor vehicle of the same year... Simply for the safety aspect.

Are the nnbs extended cab seat belts mouted to or a part of the latch assembly for the rear doors? extended cabs with the rear doors on both sides it may be possible if the nnbs extended cab trucks do in fact have the seatbelts mounted to the latch assemblies.... Provided everything bolts up...
