If the state is gonna pay this is what I would do... They will probably want to see a receipt in order to reimburse you.

I have never actually tried it before, but I have heard oven cleaner on a rag.

Use "Final Wash" 3812 from dupont or an enamel reducer LIGHTLY on it, soak the area, then the rag, it will eventually be removed. get a body shop bondo plastic tool, or spreader and scrape the area lightly while wet to get the big stuff off. You WILL have to lightly buff or wax the crap out of it, but it does work.

I'd have your dealerships bodyshop do the work. That way they can handle whatever it needs from detail work to fresh paint. If you aren't happy, have them keep at it until you are. Keep all records and have the state pay for the final bill.

sounds good, I may do that. I'ma check with them tomorrow. Just hate to spend this much money right now on it. Don't really have it, but I guess I have to...... Thanks for all the advice guys, i'll let ya'll know what I finally end up doing.

I wouldnt let any dealership touch the finish on your truck. You would be better off finding a PROFESSIONAL detailer or finish restorer to do the work.

i used a rag soaked with some gasoline and it wiped the yellow right off. it was on there for a couple days before i did it

and that didn't mess your paint up? it's been about a week on there now, a little over a week actually.
