Default Removing residue from molding

I took off some of the molding on the truck. The piece along the door is still attached but, the other two have been removed.

There is still a residue from the glue that held them on... Definetly not coming off with a finger nail or anything like that.

What can I use to get it off? It looks really bad when the sun light glares off of it.

If you guys can point me in the direction of something that works real well, I'll take off the pieces off the door. It looks so much cleaner that way.

Is this a noob question???

Thanks for any help,

Kyle

My moldings came off very easy when I sprayed the glue with some WD-40. It softens the glue and makes it easy to peel off. When all the glue was gone I went over the area with some wax. You will like the results after it's all done...looks so much cleaner.

very likely, I believe they reformulated recently to have less impact on the ozone, but it may have less impact on the adhesive as well
