Default really dumb noobie wheel question.

Ok I was going to sell my truck to buy this other one but im not anymore. To make up for it my dad said Ill buy you wheels up to $2000 so that really good. He wants me to get like 16" "mags" but of course I want 20's so my question is... would 20's rub anywhere because they are so much taller? I have a 98 silvy. also what is a good size tire for a 20x9 wheel? thanks

Are you 2wd or 4wd? Usually, they run a 285/50/20 on 4x4's and 275/45/20's on 2wd. Is your truck lowered at all, or do you plan to, as that will also change the set-up.

nah I found the ones I like already and its 2wd not lowered. If I do drop it, it wont be for a while. so no clearance issues on stock ride height?

I put 20s on for a weekend with 285/50R20 off a friends Z71 and didn't rub at all even with the 2/4 drop. And that size tire is huge, so whatever you choose, try and keep it smaller than 32'' diameter.

i've got a f-150 lowered 3/6 with 275/45/20s and i rub a lilttle bit!! but those chevys can fit a bigger tire... if you want put a 295/40/20... thats a real good size for a 20x9... its smaller than my 275/45 so you'll be good.
whatever you do, let us know and post some pics
