I'm getting ready to lower my truck (ecsb) and I'm concerned with it's ability to tow afterwards. It'll be towing a 3000 lbs Bayliner fairly often
and I just want to know if anyone's had problems with it. I'm concerned that some kits might be less quality and not do well with side to side drifting in wind or squatting in the rear. I don't want to look goofy with it lower in the back than the front. TIA, boot

With only towing 3k, I would put airshocks out back and you should be fine. I towed this all over Texas with airshocks and a weight distribution hitch. It wieghed in at 6200#'s while out on the road. BTW, this is a 3" spring (front) 4" shackle/hanger (rear) drop. The airshocks alone would hold it up withh 100psi in them (8psi when no load), but I needed the hitch for the wieght and sway control. Also it helped it from bottoming out. But in your case with 3000#'s, you will probably be fine with airshocks. (under $70 at Autozone)

air shocks, never heard of them. Yeah, I'm just looking for a mild rake drop. 2" and a 3" should work nicely. I'm not gonna be going all over everywhere, just a 45 min drive from SA to Canyon Lake. That and I have the boat stored out at the lake so it's only like a five minute drive to the lake then. What of this weight distributing hitch? I'm planning (hoping) on a roll pan with a hidden hitch. TIA, boot

Never heard of airshocks???? If your only going five minutes, I would just deal with it. A 3" drop will probably bottom out on larger bumps, but shouldn't be to bad. It also depends on the tounge weight of the trailer.

How low are you wanting to go? If you go 4/6 you can get a set of helper bags which should let you level it out for towing needs...then when you are done deflate them and you are back at your ride heigth. The only bad thing about the helper bags are that you cannot use them with a hanger/shackle kit since those kits put the leaf sping physically closer to the frame. They work fine on stock and flipkit applications however...airlift even makes theirs to where it bolts into your current c-notch!

When I am not a broke college kid anymore, I'm gonna do a 2" drop all the way around.
I will be towing a '74 Caravelle during the summer. I'm in the same boat as you, towing wise.
These might help out with towing too if you drop it far. kinda the expensive alternative to air shocks:

Greg has good idea
Airshocks is an option
You also could add a helper spring
or rear air bags...
more work and more complicated than the air shocks
Greg - truck looks good towing your house around....
Had to stick a jab in there....
