Install is easy. There is only one screw and some clips that hold that console up there. To get the black cubby hole part that is in there from the factory out you have to cut where they melted the plastic around the tabs that hold it in (you will see when the console is out) that was no big deal and you could easily put it back in later with some screws if needed. The gauge plate doesn't really come with anything to hold it in there securely. It has 4 tapped holes in the back and comes with 2 screws. I used a couple of thin pieces of metal to lock it in there better.
