Default putting 05 style lights on an 05 duallie?

I was wondering why the damned duellies don't come with the good looking taillights???

Can they be swapped out? If so how?

Well I dont know why they wouldn't come on there stock but they can be done. It should be a direct bolt-on. Only thing you would want is the harness. You dont need it but to get the lights all ligned up, it will be necessary.

The 03+ taillights have a 194 bulb in the bottom corner that alternates with the turn signal. If you dont get the harness then you will have brake lights and turn signal but the small 194 bulb wont come on. If oyu get the harness then all the bulbs will work.

I would just get the covers, but if you want that little bulb to light up might as well get the harness.

There are some that are pretty pricey on ebay, but you can find ones that are fairly good priced. I seen some on there go for $150 with the harness. Also the covers by themselfes go for like $70.

I put 04 tails in my 00 they bolted right in. The dually fenders are just bolted onto the regular single wheel bed. The better looking lights should slip right in. I put those little led flashers in mine with a remote switch. they blink at night OOOOOOHHHHH AAAAHHHH nothing special. just something to fill the hole. with yours being the same year you should have no problem putting in a tail from '03 and up.
