Default Prettying Up a Truck Intake

Has anyone on here ever shaved off the ribs and other ugly stuff on a truck intake and smoothed it up and painted it? What stuff to I not want to cut? Any pictures? Thanks

Cody (1slow01z71) had another member on here do his. I think he even had them for sale a while back. It looks badass when the ribs are ground off and the entire thing smoothed out. Here's a pic I found of them:

I would do the escalade covers they look clean as hell and cover everything up. I decided to keep those for a while till I get the vic jr on. Ill sell em for 150 when Im ready to get rid of them. The truck intake isnt worth messing with IMO since it will require ALOT of work to get look good and the plastic is so thin you run teh chance of grinding through it.

i think it would do alright with light prep work. it doesnt exactly have a smooth finish so i think the main thing would be to get it clean. and thats gona take some work. i cleaned mine the best i could when i did the knock sensor swap but it took some work.
