Default Powder coat LSXrt?

Has anyone or can you powder coat a LSXrt intake? Will the baking process damage the shell or compromise the integrity of it?

I’m sure the baking process with melt the whole thing. Everyone just has them painted (including myself)

I thought so. I’ve painted mine already, but it’s peeling in a few areas.

Yeah...that won't work. You trying to change the color or just what?

Yeah, I’ve powder coated the turbo housing and intake pipe and wanted it to match.

Have you thought about having it hydro-dipped?

Same too you.
Side note: What throttle body are you using? Had to use a throttle body spacer to stop a boost leak between the stock body and LSXrt. FAST said they have not heard of anyone having any issue with the stock 90mm.

Yeah, I tried powder coating mine. Powder coater said it wouldn't work due to the temps. Considered painting it but opted against it because I didn't want the paint to start flaking or chipping.

Still might do it, especially now that I am moving back home where I will have all of my vehicles in one place and access to everything else.
