My chrome wheels that i've had for less than a year are starting to pit up. Is there any way that I can have this fixed or atleast stop it from getting worse?

Pits are pits. They have eaten thru the coating. All you can do at this point is to clean thuroughly and wax. The wax will provide some protection. Sucks. Chrome in this country is so badly done.
Of course you can have them stripped and replated but it'll probably cost more than they're worth.

 

dammit...time for some smaller lighter 17's i guess

 

Mine are billet aluminum and a PITA to keep clean but when polished correctly (4hrs) look sooo good!

 

I found some new in box 17X8 centerline galaxy 6's for $375...thinkin pretty seriously about those

 

I've got the same problem, but mine are over 4 years old. I'm thinking about having them powdercoated. I found a place local that will do them for about $80 each, which includes them stripping and etching them.

I know what you mean man...I spend about 5 hours on mine....my process is wash wheel...blow dry...then air dry for 30 mins, then polished it with powerball then go around one more time by hand to get everything, take polish off, then wash the wheel to get everything off then wax wheel with 2001 or zaino for protection. It usually last about 6 months with me washing it every 2 weeks...I've been thinking about clearing/powdercoating mine but I like the shine...I've heard that the powdercoat makes it a little more dull but you don't have to polish it.

 

I clean my wheels 2 times a week regardless of weather with some Windex. Takes 15 minutes and they show no signs of pitting...
