Default Painted Front Grill

I was washing my truck the other day and apparently a rock or something hit my grill and took off about a nickle sized piece of that plastic chrome stuff. Should I...
A: Buy a new grill.
or
B: Take the one I've got to a body shop and get them to sand and paint the whole thing gloss black to match the truck.
Does anyone have pics of a solid black grill? If I get it painted I was gonna keep my chrome bowtie and get shiny grill inserts. How do you think it would look? Suggestions?

Painted would look good, but I would go with the all chrome tahoe grill.

Do you think that with grill inserts and the bowtie that that would be too much chrome in the front?

I had the billet grill, chrome bow tie and tahoe grill and it looked great. I painted my stock bow tie the color of my truck to spice it up some and I like it. I still think my front end needs something though... maybe painted top bumper cap and some clear corners

I have chrome Suburban grille, clear corners, and billet insert, Z71 Tahoe air dam....just don't have a chrome bowtie....should give you some idea of what it looks like. I guess I need a better pic that's not in the shade. brb.

EDIT...New sig pic, one extra of the front.

Go for the factory black Z-71 Tahoe grille, (factory paint always seems to hold up better), and install the billet inserts. It'll look bitchen'.

Just my $0.02

I painted my stock grille black and put billet inserts and a chrome bowtie and it looks pretty nice. I think it makes it look much sportier than the Tahoe grille but it just depends on if you want a lot of chrome or not.
