does anyone know how much the factory painted door and tail gate handles will run from a dealer? I need them for a summit white 03 silverado. I assume you can order them because they come on LT styled vehicles, or would this be too expensive?

 

They don't come painted unless thier GMC C3 handles and then it's only in Pewter. You have to paint the handles yourself. Any competant local spray shop should be able to handle the task, no pun intended. I had my mirrors, handles, engine cover, and corner braces painted to match my truck for $100.

 

Thats is the way I will go then, $100 isnt bad at all. Two more questions. 1.) Did you paint your tailgate handle? 2.) What grit sand paper did you use to sand the plastic?

 

I payed around $20 each-dealer cost for my factory painted Denali door handles. Denali door handles and the ones off the SS come in a bunch of colors. You could get door handles off a z71 tahoe, I believe there offered in white.

Bring this part # to the dealer and have them search for available colors

Will the SS tailgate handle work on the 99-0x trucks?

 

SS tailgate handle is the same as the stock handle only painted. It is not a smooth handle though, just stock handle painted. The C3 is supposed to be smooth like the Escalade door handles but I have personally never seen one to verify it is smooth.
