Anyone know where I can find the GM Factory paint code? If its located in the glovebox what does the code start with so I know which one is the code. Thank you.

 

In the glovebox. 2 digit # usually followed by a U. Ex- Summit White = 50U. Dark Chrarcoal Grey Metallic = 69U

 

it starts with u in the bottom left corner U 805K

 

It can also start with WA. WA numbers are more specific also.

 

...u8555 "onyx black"...for example..change first letter "u" to "wa" so it can be brought up in formula "wa8555"...this should come up in any paint system...most gms start with "u" they must be converted to "wa"...

hope this helps...also you'll probably want to color chip "variance chips" to your vehicles color, outside...
