paint matching.

my truck is finally going to the shop to get my bedside replaced and painted. mine got cracked in a parkinglot. i already have the bedside in my garage. my dad is telling me that his paint guy will be able to match the paint without my truck being there....is that true?
my dads wanting to drop off the fender for him to paint and pick it up later and we can put it on but im afraid that the paint wouldnt match up. its 2001 charcoal grey.

im just guna leave the truck there. the guy that had the truck before me got rear ended and that side of the bed was painted on before so i dont know if they blended it up the cab then or not. i guess ill tell them to go ahead and paint my mirrors while they have it.

Well here's what I think. My truck had to had the left rear stepside replaced and painted because it was craked when I blew out my tire. I'am real picky when getting every job done right and make sure everything matches too. When the truck was completed I was
pissed. It didn't even match it was a little lighter than the rest of truck. Was not that bad but, but if your picky as i am you would notice it. Overall it looks fine.
