The pictures you posted what GM color code is that and what paint?
My truck looks to be that color, but on the option codes it has the 92i - which I thought you were saying was SEM 17163 to match not the 17223
What does GM call these things? Im really also trying to find out a paint that matches the dark gray almost black inserts that my light gray interior truck has because Im changing the headliner to something like that and want to paint the grab handles, dvd enclosure etc to match

I think 92I is medium pewter or something like that and is a 99-02 interior color.

(I'm 90% sure), The 99-02 colors are the same as the 03-07. The only thing they changed was the sheen and the name for them. I want to say the 03-07 have a shinier sheen. If it's just the color, you should be able to interchange if you needed to. Depending on what you are going for, you might even want the other one.
Must have been 5+ years ago, but I bought mine at NAPA, had a good selection in store.
Also, If you're going to do the work, have you pulled the panels off yet? The interior panels have a "textured surface" to them. I haven't tried it on a large scale, but when working with them, that texture just peels off, like when rubbing stuck glue off your hands, and leaves a smooth panel under it. I would love to see someone try it first, but I think you should be able to remove that texture from all the panels. Not sure if you want that texture on their or not, but could test an area. SHOULD make painting it custom a better look, not sure if you were going for the stock look or not.

No the colors are different. Specifically the pewter color.
If you are dyeing to match then you are probably not wanting to remove the textured surface. This is no issue if following the SEM paint directions. On GMFS people used to paint their whole dash and all plastics back in the day, looked like a job out of a hell.

Hence the different interior paint codes. Alot of parts interchange but the colors do not.

Paint has different codes for different sheen. If you put the 03-07 A pillars on a 99-02 because of the tweeter, most people would never notice the difference.
I'll try to remember next time I go to the yard, and I'll pull out two plastics to compare and take pictures of em side by side.
The only RPO codes for interior for me are:
12D 36004 P TRM M TRIM COMBINATION CLOTH, GRAPHITE (D) (96) 960118 E 3 E A
12I 48556 P CCM M INTERIOR TRIM GRAPHITE II (99) 960111 E T E A
The 99-02 names are: charcoal, graphite, and something. The 03-07 is pewter, dark pewter, and ..... I will have to compare them before I'm convinced, but I really do think the only difference is the name and the sheen. If I pull the bezels that would definitely show they came from the different years.
Yeah, if you're dying to match it then probably not. I'm still tempted to take off all that texture. It just looks like the texture you put on walls to hide things to me. I think it would look much better smooth with the right color combo.

Yeah I can go out and take a pic of my 04 console in my 99 lol both are pewter but both are different color.
I will probably dye my console to be the 99 color though.
