I got in a little fender bender recently trying to drive the truck in the rain and need to replace the front bumper. I am going to take this opportunity to swap to the 01-02 HD grille and bumper cap. My quandary is should I do a chrome or painted bumper and/or grille strip? The cap and plastic on the grill will be painted blue to match. I currently have the chrome rear bumper but that would be the only other chrome on the truck (wheels are polished aluminum). In the next year or so, I would like to have the entire truck painted and do a roll pan then. Here is an older pic but the truck now has painted sport mirrors, vent visors and molding has been removed but other wise looks the same.

 

I've always been a bigger fan of color matched parts... I vote painted.

 

Chrome. If the lower half of the truck was blue then color match.

Paint is better, I just can't stand rock chips on the chrome after painted

 

I say chrome bumper and color the grille IMO it flows better with your truck
If it were me I'd def leave the bumper chrome
And it's like mangled said if your truck was all blue te paint

I vote chrome. Why does every one hate on chrome anyways. Not everything has to be color matched.
