Default Paimted Mirror "Caps" Available Seperate?

Self-explanatory! I thought I heard someone post months ago that those painted and chrome mirror caps were available seperately. My dealer shows no part number in their computer, so I was wondering if anyone had the part # for the 91U Arrival Blue Caps....if you can even get them!

TIA

Thumbs up

Try this link for your mirror caps. I ordered my Victory Red caps from them and they are great. Cost was about $50 for the pair. By the way, you can't get the painted caps from any dealer, they aren't available from them. This company goes directly to GM's subcontractor and buys the parts and gets them painted.

BTW when I purchased mine they took paypal but not charge cards.

Hope this helps!

i was wondering about this... i wanted to keep the stock mirrors so i can still have a good view... but the chrome is kinda cheesy... this might look pretty good....

Thanks RR, that's good information! You know how dealers are, they don't like to much effort into finding obscure parts for ya' so I wasn't sure if they offered them or not! $50 isn't oo bad, although I was hopin' they were cheaper!! I'll have to check them out though, I'm gonna paint my complete mirrors anyway, but I olike the "smooth" look of the caps!

Default Guage Overlays are PIMP!!

Yeah, they look pimp! They have a LOT of good interior mods on their website, as well as some nice exterior stuff with good prices. Those "Slade guages with the chrome overlays are frickin bad ***!!! They seem damn cheap though. I know it's not the COMPLETE guage housing, plug in style, but I was trying to figure out EXACTLY what you got for the 2003 Escalade.

They have three:

For 2003 and newer Gm trucks/SUV. Get the Escalade look (Lens w/black bezel/Silver rings, White needles, & Black overlay) $180.00 Shipped

or get the Lens w/black bezal/silver rings for only $70.00 Shipped

AND

2003 Stock Black Escalade Overlay $100.00 Shipped

So once you have the painted covers, do you apply them over the OEM covers or pry the old ones off first?

Thanks, ts99

It says to pry the old ones off first, and I take it as us folks with the solid, textured ,black mirrors atually do have a cap!!! Because they sell a solid black, textured cap on their site as well, strange because mine sure doesn't look like it has a cap, but I'll double check. I think what i'm gonna do, since I'm painting my entire mirror anyway, is forgo the caps and just wet-sand mine smooth and fill in the cap groove so it looks like the smooth door handles. Some folks have molded their stock mirrors so they look like a one piece dsign, but mine has power fold so I don't wanna do that. Even if I didn't have power fold, I'd still want the "break-away" feature in case you clipped something or someone bumped into your mirror hard...talk about some damage and being PISSED!!!!
