My '00 Sierra RCSB had the plain-jane black trim which I tried to replace with color-matched version but the reds just didn't match. Last week, I put on the chrome trim like you're considering and it looked great. I have the Escalade handles, painted mirrors with chrome caps and polished stainless nerfs. I think you'll like it but just so you know, it cost me nearly $200 from GM Parts Direct because of shipping/handling.

I think about removing mine, but the blend in with my stainless steps. I dont really like the look of the steps, but my wife and kids do get into my truck every now and then.

That's $100 for each side. I have a complete set (still in the plastic) for a RCSB that I was going to put on my truck, but I am now lacking chrome on the truck so they will not be going on.

I really like the GMC trim - very sleek look. Matches up great with the Escalade door handles front bumper, mirrors caps, etc.

If you decide, let me know.

I second Illnali's opinion. The way it is.. go for it... if you plan on doing the denalli front.. keep them off.

Seems high...I only say that as I got mine for ~125 total for my truck from the pt king in Wash, can't find the site now. I would check partszoneonline.com
