Default Old Pic of my Truck - Help with the exterior

I'm putting a street scene SS style bumper cover on my 2003 reg cab and I want the grille shell to match. Right now it has a chrome plastic coating. Is a body shop able to paint over that stuff? Or what is the process to making the shell black?

Also I will need headlights. Any suggestions that will go with the black bumper and shell/grille?

Thanks guys

Body shops can get paint to work with chrome. I would paint the side markers black in your stock lights. Looks good mang

Definitely strip it before you paint it! A guy on here was just telling me to use a razor blade and cut through the chrome and then peel it off. I say whatever you do don't paint over the chrome!

You could bake your lenses and paint the side markers black...which would look good or go all clear...even tinted lenses would look slick if you wanted the murdered out look

I personally think that it would look good with cleared lenses with everything else the same color, would contrast everything else nicely

Yea I definitely wouldn't paint over that fake chrome crap. I will have the grille shell painted, bumper all black, and the side mirrors need paint.

Has anyone dealt with aftermarket headlights? I want them to be black halo maybe. Any suggestions?

I had halos in my old dodge they were cool but always thought they looked cheesy. I know a buddy paid like 80$ for a set of black background clear headlights for his 03 Chevy

So I have a checklist going for my exterior:

SS Bumper
Smoked black headlights (decided against halo's)
Smoked black taillights
Paint the grille shell black
Paint the side mirrors
Frame C Notch
