new rims
#1
I'm looking at buying a set of 20s from a friend of mine and wanted a little input first. They are Boss 309 rims with a low pro tire (dont know what size yet). I've seen them in person and they look good but I just wanted some input. I can get them for about 500 with tires. My big thing was that if the tread wasn't too good I wouldn't get them but my thinking is this. He has them on a v6 truck with no engine mods. I dont figure that v6 can push those big heavy chrome 20s too well anyway but much less roast the tires off of it. So my thoughts are that the only wear on the tires is just from casual driving and he hasn't had the rims a year. So what do you guys think?

Sounds like that is a pretty good deal. Even without the tires. You said he has had them for less than a year so if they don't have any damage I'd say go for it. I'm sure the tread is pretty good if it's been on his v6 for less than a year. Good luck!

Let me get this straight...$500 for a set of 20" rims and tires? I'd say that is pretty damn good deal even if they didn't come with year old tires. Like mentioned above...as long as there is no rim damage, jump on it.
