Default New project

I've got a lot of free time on my hands here lately and i was looking at another project to do and thought that it would be really cool to take all of the incandescent bulbs out of my gauge cluster and replace them with red and orange LEDs. Has anyone ever done this before and can give me any tips and/or can point me to a thread or sticky where someone else has done it?
