New Paint Renderring - Comments?
#1
I've got a couple graphic artists working on several designs for the upcoming paint work my truck will get once the motor and turbo are built. I got a phone call friday from one of them saying they had one they had quickly thrown together (15 min) one that he liked. He said he would turn it to a 3 view renderring (front, top and side) if I thought it was something I'd like to do. So I'm wanting to see what you think. I like the way it looks here and will probably let him to the 3 view to see if I really want to have the paint done like this.
Anyway- here it is.

I appreciate the reply but on the actual flames I feel I should tell you they were actually painted by Mike Lavalle (the guy on Overhaulin all the time painting the true flames and the originator of the true flame design) The photochop above cut the flames straight off an image of his work. Now the actual layout is a quick job just to get an idea. It will be fine tuned in the final draft.
Just curious- what would you suggest for true flames on a truck with the rounded lines of the Dodge? I originally wanted the true flamed racing stripes like on the Overhaulin Camaro (Ziering) that Lavalle painted too. They just didn't seem to "fit".
I don't mind any and all comments but if you don't like it give some suggestions.
Thanks all

yeah i dont like it either, now Mike Lavalle does some good work, what i would suggest is loose the white start the flames a yellowish orange then fade the color out to real flames. and do longer flames. like down the side to atleast half the door. JMO though i could have no taste in paint, but this would suit me better.

i think that would look good... i understand that its computer generated and far from actual world results. I agree with the last comment... the only thing that gets me is that the flame is starting from white... i think if it started from a light orange to a dark orange/redish tip with flames trailing off of it would look great. I think on a black truck the best flame work needs to be more difined than what that looks like he has on your truck... those flames look like ghost flames.. and i think a sharper more defined flame would be best on your truck.
Man, but that thing is going to look sharp after its all said and done. You'll def have the best of both worlds. All the looks of a show truck and the grunt of a muscle car to whipe most anything off the road... i cant wait to actually get to see this thing one day

Personally, I like it. I'd like to see a little more flame, maybe around the headlights also, and going back further, but I think it looks good the way it is too. Looks sharp and tasteful.
