A new look.

I've been looking for a set of 17" stockers...I have some on the wifes suburban but if I traded her I'd have to buy bigger tires for my 22's for her burban. I found a set of 17's on pt.net from a user the other day, bought em, $200 plus 85 for shipping. No tires. Then, I saw a set on locally for $150, with tires but no center caps. Went and looked at em, all the tires were different, one was a mudder, and they were all shot. So I convinced him to give em up for a hundred.
So I have 2 sets of 17" stockers now for $385. I mainly wanted them for track purposes, and if I liked em enough I'd run em all the time. I have a buyer lined up for my 22's for $1500 but I just cant let myself let em go. I dont need the money and I have a grand alone in new tires. So they are sitting in the garage now.
The 17" stockers in the pics below are not mine-I borrowed these from Ben (Silver-mod-o) just so I could see what tire size I need to run. I like them and I dont. They are about 15 lbs lighter per wheel and tire than my 22's, so thats a plus.
I think I dont like em that much because of my trucks stance, its a 3-4" drop...I'd like to go lower but dont wanna have to do drop spindles and upper control arms on top of DJM lowers. I think these wheels would look a lot better with my truck a lot lower and a lot shorter tire. I also took out my billet door handles and put the painted ones back in the buckets for now, I hate how some people have chrome handles but no chrome wheels. I have to give these wheels back in a day or so, so I'll be runnin the 22's again till I decide if and what tires I'm buying for the 17's.
Either way, let me know if I'm headed in the right direction or not. BTW I painted my calipers black to cover up the lime green so thats also a plus lol. I'm thinking of losing the rear overload spring to level out that rear some (I know the consequences).
Tire size is 275/60/17. Wondering if I should go shorter. To me, the truck doesnt look near as sharp anymore. And if I ran these stockers I'd have to switch back to my regular side view mirrors fo sho.

Your truck looks WAYYY better with the 17's.
Ive said it many times, these are my fav factory wheels in that size.
I like the way your truck sits, i wouldnt lower it any more.
They look great, and keep a sleeper image, ditch the bling and spend it on go fast goodies!
Truck looks great bud.

Thanks guys, they are growing on me more and more.
Qwank-Holler at me when you drop your Z, I've been through that and I could give you good advice if you have problems.
Frito-Let me wait until I get the other set in the mail, and then we'll talk. I'll let you know.
