Default New bumpers!

My "06 Tahoe is a Z71 and the factory painted bumpers rust like crazy from the winter salt and acid rain we have around here. The fact that the truck is lowered lead me to buy a roll pan vs. doing all the sanding and painting on the now rusty stock bumper. After buying the roll pan($85 local, they are new and in the box. Shipping should be $25 or less if anyone in interested), I got to thinking, "why not upgrade the front bumper also and save sanding and re-working the front bumper." Those thoughts quickly lead me to an SS bumper. After quickly selling the plastics from my factory bumper that supplied most of the money for the SS bumper. Should be mid to end of next week.

The front will go from this

To this

Not sure if I will add grill incerts or not to the truck or the bumper. I do like the look in this picture.

And the rear from this

To a nice painted roll pan.

P.S. The rear bumper is still for sale. All of the plastics including the plate lights. They are posted in the for sale section.

Does anyone have a place to buy a spring loaded licence plate bracket? I will be putting the hitch behind the roll pan.

I will! With these bumpers the truck will be done for a wile. Slight chance of wheels if tax money allows. I have a feeling that getting my other truck running and the other things I need to do around the house will eat up all of my tax money.

I will go do a nice photo shoot when the bumpers are done.

There are lots of "car" plat brackets but you can never find them. I looked at every yard in town for the HD when it still had a hitch.

Rinsed all the salt off the truck today so figured I would do a quick before set of shots. Hopeing to have the SS bumper by friday and hopefully paint it next weekend. It will probably be two weeks before paint but we will see.

Thanks beatdownZ!
I will be ordering it soon.

This is what kills me. One thing leads to another. First was going to be roll pan and paint the front, now the SS bumper. Now it needs to go lower! It will probably only get another inch all around and luckily that won't can me anything.

I am strongly considering exhaust of some sort now because the stock pipe looks crappy. If I do anything it will probably just be muffler back for now.
