Apple has this stereo hook up kit for the iPod which is basically the plug that goes into the iPod and turns into RCA cables, so you can hook it to pretty much anything you want. That also costs about $100 so I'm looking at $200 just to hook my iPod to my car stereo. It's not the money it's just sheesh man, all this proprietary stuff pisses me off.
The only bad part is that I don't think I'd be able to control my iPod with my headunit, which is what I really want to do.

you can always just opt for a FM modulator...i had one for a while. they don't work to bad at all...the one i had was made by belkin...you could adjust what frequency it played on the radio...so you could use a station with the best signal...i opted for the ipod2car bacause i can use steering wheels controls...
