i think if you have a different head unit there might be better solutions...such as an auxillary hook up in the back for RCA's maybe. which pioneer head unit do you have???
The 940 if I remember correctly. The thing is, on the back of the headunit there is no RCA hook up like on the old Pioneer's. I checked their website and you have to buy this adaptor to convert one of the plugs to RCA, then you can hook up your iPod or whatever to the headunit. What sucks is that it costs about $100.
Apple has this stereo hook up kit for the iPod which is basically the plug that goes into the iPod and turns into RCA cables, so you can hook it to pretty much anything you want. That also costs about $100 so I'm looking at $200 just to hook my iPod to my car stereo. It's not the money it's just sheesh man, all this proprietary stuff pisses me off.
The only bad part is that I don't think I'd be able to control my iPod with my headunit, which is what I really want to do.

you can always just opt for a FM modulator...i had one for a while. they don't work to bad at all...the one i had was made by belkin...you could adjust what frequency it played on the radio...so you could use a station with the best signal...i opted for the ipod2car bacause i can use steering wheels controls...
