I bought a 2013 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT. Ext. Cab 2WD pickup. I am lowering the truck with a DJM Suspension Kit, either a 2/3 drop or a 3/4 drop and putting on new wheels. Going with a 22" wheel in all four corners. I found wheels that I like, 22" x 9" in the front and I want to widen the rear tire to a 22" x 10".
The wheels have a +30mm Offset

I have some questions for a Wheel Moderator; if take 2 of those wheels (to place on the rear) and have them widened to 22x10 will they still fit without rubbing the inner fender or springs?
Would I run a 295 or 305 / 35 or 40 in the rear?
275 or 285 / 35 or 40 in the front?

30mm offset on a 9" wheel has a backspace of 6.18" Widening the wheel 1" to the inside will net 7.18" BS which should clear the leaf springs but not sure about the inner fenders (dependent on final tire diameter and section width).

Something else to ponder... if the wheels you are looking at are flow formed, you may want to inquire with the wheel manufacturer about adding the additional inch to the inside of the wheel.

 

Thanks man! If I have to roll the fender a bit I'm ok with that, I can find a fender roller and go to town on it. I have 295/40 20 on my '03 with tons of room, they are Centerline wheels that are 20 x 8.5 and I took the back two and made 20 x 10. It also has a 3 x 4 drop. I was going to put 305/35 on the rear but instead I bought another truck. So I am here looking for advice/tips/suggestions on wheel fitment.

As far as the wheel manufacturer, I have spotted several wheels that I like.
One is a Factory GM wheel that is a 22 x 9 / 6x139.7 / 24mm
One is an Asanti Wheel 22x9 / 6x139.7 / 35mm
One is a Status Wheel 22x9.5 / 6x139.7 / 25mm
One is a Dub Wheel 22x9.5 / 6x139.7 / 30mm
One is a Avenue Wheel 22x9 / 6x139.7 / 30mm

All of these are off the shelf wheels, not having them 'Made to Order' like I did my Boyd Coddington Wheels that I put on the Camaro. Those were ordered and made to my specs and I love those wheels!! Took 11 weeks to make, cost me about $2500 for those. The new wheels going on my truck, sadly most every wheel made nowadays (10 or 11 inch wide) are made for 4 wheel drive trucks or lifted trucks. Not a lot of choice for lowered trucks and if you find a company to make them they are billet wheels. Everyone knows billet wheels as a daily driver are a SOMBITCH to keep polished, so I go with chrome instead and I don't like painted wheels.

I'm old school, I like shiny chrome.

So I buy 4 wheels I like and widen the back two. It ain't cheap either but I still like the Hot Rod look on a truck that is lowered with a little bit of rake.

How did you figure that out? Is there a formula you use?
Is the back space measured from the back of the face of the wheel to the edge of the wheel?

Yes, it is a formula. I have it in an excel spreadsheet but there are numerous calculators online.

Offset is measured from the wheel mount surface to the centerline of the wheel.
Backspace is measured from the wheel mount surface to the back side edge of the wheel.

 

Awesome, with the wheels I am looking at if added one (1) inch would that change the backspace?
