Default Need Help Lower Ball Joint !!!!!

Need Help On Removing Lower Ball Joint From Control Arm Any Ideas Air Hammer Or Just Drill Rivit Head Off. 2004 Gmc Rcsb

just buy a new control arm. the 150 bucks beats the hours of trying to beat the f'n thing out. just my info

The lower ball joint presses out and presses in. might want to try to get the tool from a parts store to borrow for the job.

Where can you get new factory arms for $150?

The lower ball joint presses out and presses in. might want to try to get the tool from a parts store to borrow for the job.
Unless they changed some thing after 03 they are riveted to the lower control arm.

Sorry, im use to replacing 4wd ball joints. I guess mrb04 has a 2wd .

There are 4 rivits that have to be either ground or drilled out. I ground the tops off mine and used a punch to knock them out. The replacement comes with 4 bolts. The uppers are a one piece unit. Ball and arm. They run about $170. The lower ball joint runs aout $75.
