before I had just the emblem painted, and now I painted the whole grill.

 

After, definatly looks better.

 

Get a billit or speed grill and the second would be the best. =)

 

I was thinking black chrome speed grille....

 

I'm planning on doing the same to my truck. I just cant decide if I want to get a black z71 grill or a chrome tahoe grill.

 

I think the second one looks better, but I think it would also look good with clear corners and a chrome bowtie. IMO.

The only reason I dont want a billet bowtie is because I'm going foa a black and silver look...trying to take off as much crome as possible while being on a tight budget.

 

The 2nd one looks good!!! But did you just paint over the chrome center strip or was it preped and panited?

 

I just painted over it...I should have preped and primed it first but it looks pretty good unless you look real close.

 

Definately looks better! I'm in the process of getting rid of all the chrome, too. I just won a gray W/T grill off of ebay, that I'll sand and paint. I'm getting a front bumper and bumper cap, that's already painted. I need to get my mirror caps and rear bumper painted.
