Default LMC Smooth Door Handles

Anyone buy a set of these to paint? Can you separate the actual handle from the housing so you can paint them each individually? That way paint doesn't build up in the cracks and you can get the backside of the middle handle portion without issue.

No one has purchased a set from them before? Seems to be the quickest way to color match since they're already smooth but don't want to have to drill the pin to take it apart.

Hey fello Oklahoman I have not purchased the lmc door handles, however I did paint my stock driver side handle the other day, the pin holding the plastic pull I was able to easily die grind off the end and slide the pin out. I did very minimal sanding on the plastic itself, just coated it up with a few coats of hi build rattle can primer. You can hardly see little to no dimples on the plastic, and I just went back with a machine screw to hold the pull in. It worked great

yea I painted my last set but the pin had already been removed and handle was sanded. Tried to get the pin out on my stock ones i took off but it jammed up 1/2 way out. Now that I have an air grinder i'll try that on the ones from LMC
