Line X Cab Floor
#1
I have a good deal brewing and was wondering if anyone has line-xed or rhino-ed there cab floor/back wall for the purpuse of sound deadening.
I can get it done cheaper than buying a bunch of dynomat.
What do you think?

I think i would definetely consider it, i'm not sure exactly how the two stack up sound deadening wise, but i like line-ex, and if i could find a deal here in MI, i would be getting my bed done, but i heard it's like 400+ bones, and that's a little steep for me right now.

I Herculine'd my old Toyota truck in high school, and I Herculine'd the floor of my Nissan SE-R. I think its great having it done, and makes me think the floor will last that much longer. It doesnt add a lot of sound deadening but it does help. ~josh

Yeah, I'm not sure about the sound deadening properties of bed liner but if you're looking for a dynamat alternative check out www.fatmat.com I bought the 100sq ft fatpak and so far have done the whole floor, the back wall and one back door and still have half left. I am not finnished yet so I'm not sure how well it works but its still a whole lot cheaper than dynamat. I have a 2001 Seirra ECSB. I paid $129.99 shipped. But if you order, call over the phone and make sure to tell them you want a wooden roller w/ the kit cause the plastic one lasted about 10 min w/ me!!

herculiner is much thinnner than line-ex or rhino liner, so it wouldn't be anywhere as near as good sound deadener, but the line ex is about 1/8" thick, and very solid so i would believe it would be decent.
