I heard that if youre going to shave your tails and 3rd light, do not use this as your primary light. Its not bright enough. During the day you can barely see it. If you are keeping your factory tails and adding this, go for it.

crappy pic but you can see that during the day it would be weak and its dark in this pic and its still not that bright

i have seen it on a truck in person and it didn't sit to well with me. it looked too jcwhitney'esk if you know what i mean. however, i am not bashing you wanting to do this is you really want to, but in person it looks ghey.

I agree to a certain point with the jcwhitney'esk comment, But I have seen them with roll pans which I assume you are doing and I think they look a ton better with a roll pan. I have thought about doing one once I get my roll pan welded in.

Do not use this as a primary light because as already stated you can not see it in direct sunlight or bright light situations.

It'd be a little bit more money, but if you're gonna do a roll pan....consider using the LED strips that hot rodder's use cause I know you can get them in just about any length and than have it molded in where the "line of fire" would go. Trust me they're extremely bright when lit and very easily seen. My dad and I had one molded in on the roadster we're building right now for a 3rd brake light and it's so bright that you'll being seeing spots if you look at it for too long.

I have seen them on some trucks and it looked like crap and I have seen them on others and it looked very nice, I guess it just depends on the vehicle. I agree it would look much better with a roll pan though.
