so i'm guessing the resistors are to retain the dimming function?

If memory serves me, the resistors help the lights stay bright and last longer by operating within a certain ohm. too much or too little will cause failure in the long run.

it's more of a ramp effect . . . in steps . . . not like the stocker.

hey mat i have mine on a 01 but there are some hot spots any idea how to even it out

yeah . .. don't use the 194 wedge wide whatever bulbs . . . they always end up going out, and they leave hot spots. I'll do another wite up after this one for the 99-02 trucks.

Make your own with a 5mm LED flat top. Use the stock twist lock holder.

yeah that what i did, they are 5 mm flat top wide rage leds but they look different from the one use which is the 194
