Anyone have a 255/55/18 on 8.5" rims? Pics? It is time for some new shoes for the truck and I dont want to spend two bills a pop for another set of yokos(not to mention I dont think they are worth it). The cheapest 285/50 I could find are Nittos at $130ea. The only other size close to 29" is a 255/55. Kumho makes the EcstaSTX in that size and I really like the tread patter on them. It is a really good looking tire not to mention they are less than a hunded a piece. I have read good reviews on them and a buddy has a set of supras on his Cobra and they hooked pretty good and lasted forever (considering the way he drives the car). Any one tried them out yet?

I had the same question
I'm gonna go with these in a month or two, I have a little stroker kit to buy first...

Jerod.. I remembered you posting that a while back but forgotabout it and didnt do a search before I posted. Just did it on a whim.
Jeremy.. thats no big deal. Looks like my exhaust is going to have to hold off for a while anyway. I just droped a couple bills into my jetski and will have to buy some new tires within the month. I do have it all mapped and priced out though. Gonna cost me ~$350 to do what I want to.
Now... back to the to the tires!

Well the lasted longer than my previous set of Nittos. They have been on since last March and currently have 38k miles on them so I really cant complain. I was just never really impressed with them as a performance tire though. The ride rough, wore uneven, didn't have tons of traction, and were extreamly noisy. Although they look badass, I cant see shelling out 200 bones a tire for another set. I am also fairly poor right now so cheap is the primary motivation right now. My only other option is a 285/50 Nitto 404 for $126ea.
