Ok, my truck (01 Seirra) I'm pretty sure came with keyless entry but I dont have any ke fobs. I will buy one but I was thinking about buying one with 4 buttons and programming the extra button for some other function. What I want to know is if this is possible to do with the factory fob and if it is which fob will work or should I just buy an aftermarket alarm system and use that as keyless entry and maybe remote start or something. Can someone recommend me a good system?? THANKS!!

 

the dealer can program the fobs for certain things but i think the remote start and such are not going to be available. i have the viper 550 esp and i like it alot. i had remote start and all.

 

I've programmed the fobs before, how much did you pay for the viper, where did you get it, did you install it?? Thanks
