Katzkin install question...
Greetings all,
Well, everything finally came in for me to install that leather seats from Katzkin. I must say everything is going much better than I envisioned from viewing the installation CD. Thank goodness for velcro! The only problem I'm having in how to remove the lumbar knod from the side of the seat. There's 4 screws behind the **** to remove the assembly, but it's a tight squeeze for a screwdriver. How do I remove the ****? I don't see any clips. Is it pressed on really good? Thanks all.

I'm sure he will. Just a matter of time I may have a second issue about to come up. Seems as if I rather forcefully, disengaged the reclining assembly when I was trying to figure out how to remove the backrest. I couldn't remove the whole seat frome the body, needed a special socket, so I unbolted the bottom seat and then removed the backrest and reclining assembly as a whole. Now the level and mechanism appears to be locked up to move the geared, spring loaded channel forward. Anybody know exactly what I'm talikng about? (Wish I would've brought the digital camera home ) Any suggesting?

Just pull it real hard
When I installed mine I took apart the first chair and realized on that wasnt nessary. Just pull the bottom of the seat off and cover the top while its all still together. Much easier.

How many people wanna bet the next question is about the arm rests?
Hey OBXMarine you might wanna talk a little before goin for that unless you have bench seats and dont have to worry bout it. I can save you time and a big headache.

Armerests were easy! Read about those the other week Just a handy dandy C-Clip.
I'm attempting to do the driver's side while in the vehicle since there's not much to it.
Just need to figure out how to get the recline to work....
Thanks again

I noticed that once I got to the driver's side where I had to remove that rod from the clips. Passenger side had them, but didn't notice them being dressed in.
I attempted to remove the rod and slide it though, but that's not possible. Everything layed on real nice around the seams. Guess I got lucky there.
I finished everything last night about 8 or so. Not too bad of a job. 7.5 hours with breaks here and there. Also installed a sub box while I had everything removed. Doubt if that'll stay in since I lost about 6 inches of leg room. I'll get some pics today and post them somewhere this evening.

I was thinking the same thing when mine was done.
Im just a perfectionist so I sprayed a little adhesive spray in the corner and it looks real nice now. It took out all the slack like it should be.
Also hepled the armrest move easier and lock into the right spot.
Im glad it all turn out good for you
Gonna get some pics up for us?
BTW- what color combo did you go with?
