Default i need to lighten up...

just wondering if there is anyway i can take some weight off my truck. you know, stuff that wont mess with my performance at all. it's an extended cab. i've already removed the rear bumper, and i plan on getting a fiberglass hood...

also, if i take the leafsprings off and put some hotchkis lowering springs on, will i still be able to haul crap around in the bed?... furniture, other stuff, etc...

Id assume removing the leaf springs, you'd need something like coilovers or something like that in the back (the Hotchkis springs should work), and it would still allow you to use the bed as a truck.

And the only way I can think to lighten up a bunch of weight, is go fiberglass everything, and try to gut the interior as much as possible. Remove accessories you dont need/want. If this is going to be a daily driver, depending upon where you live and all that, you may want to keep the heater/ac and all that stuff. If you've got power windows, or locks and all that, you could remove that and convert it to manual.

This is just my POV. Not saying thats the only thing you're left with. But, thats just all i can think of right now.
