Default How to remove/replace front fascia on 04-06 GMC?

Just curious how it is held on, and what it takes to replace. I'm having thoughts of selling the lift again, and will need to replace the plastic lower front fascia piece that I trimmed to make room for the wider/taller tires.

Any thoughts?

I looked under there, and it looked like some kind of specialty clips holding the plastic piece to the metal piece, does anyoneknow if these are re-useable, or if it takes a special tool to get them on and off?

They should be the two piece clips. Just take a small pick and pull out the center section. The outer will then just come out. If you are careful they are reusable. They work almost like a sheetrock mount. The little piece in the middle forces out the bigger piece like a wedge. Have fun! Their is a crap ton of them.

That's what I was afraid of. I have a feeling it might be worth buying a new set, as patience tends to run low on such projects, and I end up ripping things apart.

That to, is a good way. A little barbaric, but efficient.

BTW it just dawned on me that they are the same clips that hold on you're radiator "shroud".

That gets the top piece off. Srew driver and pull up on the center piece. Then the front grille comes off with a couple bolts at the top by the hood latch. You can see down in at the locations where the grille is clipped to the truck. I just pulled at those points and the grille came off pretty easy.
