how to remove front bowtie??

Default how to remove front bowtie??

i would like to remove the front bowtie on my 08' sliverado to paint it, I looked in behind the grill and it doesnt have the nuts to unscrew to take it off like on my old truck
so how does this come off

The two vertical black tabs that poke through the back of the grille need to be pushed in towards each other, then you can pull it off. Take the grille off and lay it on the floor though, it'll be much easier to see the little black tabs that are holding it on.

It is much easier to do with the grille off, but can be done with it on. I've always removed it with the grille on, and a very small flathead screwdriver to push the pins in.
