i took it off my 98 that i had a couple years ago. just take it off and get all the glue off then polish the hole truck up and it should match pretty good.

It should just leave the imprint on there, all you gotta do is buff and wax the area. Then it'll look better.

I took off my sle badges and some pinstripes about a week ago, didnt buff anything, and its still not that noticable, ON PEWTER< lol but on my 92 s-10 i pulled all that old molding off, 11 years of wear and tear and it all blends when i got it buffed and waxed

My 99 is black too and I took all mine off, then had it fully detailed and there is only one little spot you can see that there was something there, but only if the light hits it just right.

i pulled all the molding and badges off of my 2000 silverado and it all looks fine. except for the passanger rear finder; i got backed into and had to have the rear finder re-painted. it is a slightly different grey and you can the outline of where it was. but as long as you have all factory paint it should be fine.
